As a living lab with deep roots in design, we hold the complexity of life in one hand, and the simplicity of systems in another. Our wellbeing is connected to systems at large. We are living through a crisis of connection, where the loneliness epidemic and the climate crisis are perpetuated by the same forces.
The systems that shape our lives are ripe for reimagining.
Inputs and Outputs. Our lives can feel tangled at times, but when we take a sacred pause, and reflect on the currents that rule our choices and motivations, we can better understand the forces at play, and develop lucid awareness of our past, present, and future.
Know thyself is the first rule of anything.
We start with our inner weather, and expand out from there. As a living lab, we look to art and nature as mediums for reflection and expression. The more we see in ourselves, the more we see in the world. Let's come together, and create from that space.
Forgetting our flow, we live in a blur.
Demands on our attention, constant stimulation, and too little space to notice have made us forget ourselves, and become numb to the currents that shape how we move through the world.
We are pursuing original questions through our research on cognition and creativity, and translating our findings into design intelligence. We need more spaces where we can slow down and savor the layers of lived experience.
Our research on Desire Paths, presented for the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity in June 2026, explores the role of our attention, vocation, and creativity shape our wayfinding in real-world environments.
Through the blur, come the blues.
Fatigue, disconnection, and languishing have quietly taken up residence in our culture of instant gratification.
We are designing mindful spaces that invite people into sacred pause — using art, nature, and soft fascination as pathways back to presence, resonance, and repair. The spaces we host are not an escape or a vacation, but a portal to remembrance. Through ways of seeing, we find ways of returning to our lives with clarity and care.
Our slow-looking labs and sensory oasis for SXSW showed us how powerful these spaces can be. People are eager for spaces that offer artful reflection, restoration, and a sense of calm to carry you through your day.
Beyond the blues, let's make room.
Events these days are a dime a dozen. What would it feel like to find true connection through shared intentions?
This is exactly what happens when we gather around art and nature. We restore our attention, redefine what matters, and remember what's possible when we come together. Imagination is a renewable resource.
We are building creative spaces where art and nature become mediums for deeper reflection and expression. Our guests learn through their own lens, and also through shared experience. Moments like these help people reattune to their inner weather, better understand the people around them, and see the world with kindred eyes — turning a single experience into something beautifully alive.
This is a real greenspace for us, growing from our research on mindfulness and creativity, with a dose of nature. We hope to design experiences that invite people to move from individual reflection to collective imagination.
Where words fail us, our senses will do.
Color + Rhythm. Aroma + Texture. Myth + Memory. Every story, and every sensation can be a doorway to our inner landscape.
We are exploring synesthesia storytelling to translate lived experience through a dazzling array of senses. Did you know we have more than 5...? When we make room for ways of knowing, we move beyond normative and ableist paradigms, and create more pathways for shared stories, culture, and design.
For SXSW 2026, we paired art + fragrance as a playful form of synesthesia, worldbuilding for curious minds.
For SXSW 2025, we debuted our immersive-inclusive design "in languages that aren't always sound," projecting live cymatics in a concert hall to invite our Deaf + HoH guests to visualize music in real-time. What began as an accessibility challenge, became a unique sensory immersion for everyone in the space. Our early experiments show us a future where creativity becomes a bridge between inner experience and collective understanding.
Are we heading for the same horizons? Let's go there together
